I Invented obvious upgrade ideas for pockets.
It is possible to use cut resident cord. For light jackets an elastic material or cord can be used to keep it closed. The next obvious step is a clasp to keep the elastic self closing pocket open while you put items in.
Thurther experimentation with two sided zippers is obvious. Advantages would be hiding the mechanism within the jacket so it doesn't snag isn't easy to cut or balancing the force on the zipper handle so it closes easily.
Using elastics and loose would make self closing also work for horizontal zipper pockets and pockets on arms.
The simplicity of pockets that close themselves and you notice if they are opened or tampered with will help a lot of people and I want to share this idea freely.
